Those in the market for used manufactured homes should consider going south to find what they need. Manufactured home book values are more “buyer friendly” in warmer locations. This is due to several reasons. Those in the market for one of these homes can save a lot of money by buying in another city and having the home moved to their ideal location.

Reason why buying in a warm area is a good idea:

1. Inventory: When buyers check nationally or in warmer locations, they automatically open themselves up to a larger inventory. When there are more homes to choose from, buyers will be able to better get what they want out of a manufactured home.

2. Quality: Not only are there more homes to choose from, but the quality of homes are often better in warmer or tourist areas. This is most often because the homes there aren’t used as often for primary residency. Thus, they have less “use” overall.

3. Price: Since there are an abundance of manufactured homes for sale in warmer areas, the prices are often much lower. After all, when sellers are competing for sales they will offer better buyer incentives and lower prices.

So, if you want to get the most buyer friendly manufactured home book values in the country, consider states like Florida, California or Arizona. These states have high populations of retired people and large inventories of used manufactured homes. What you can save on the purchase will be more than enough to allow you to move the home to your location, plus some!
